Things I Miss The Most
65
It has been over twenty years since my first husband passed away. Here is a list of things that I miss about my first husband. You know you would think it would be the big things. But it comes down to:
- The touch of his hand in the middle of my back guiding me
- The love in his eyes
- Knowing that all he had to do was smile and I melted
- The conversations we shared
- The laughs we had
- The fights we had even (though they weren't often)
- The kisses..those unforgettable kisses
- The possessiveness when someone got too close
- Waking up and seeing his face
- Curling up on his lap and watching tv
- Going on long walks
When you really break down what you miss about a person after they pass. It's not the ugly stuff that matters. It is the things that made the relationship work. It is the love that was shared. Even in the darkest of times that is what shines through. The heart tends to forget the bad times and only remember what was pure.

love your tribute to your feelings for a man you appear to be so devoted to. Well written and put nicely down in thought.
